This report presents research carried out by the NCC Group on behalf of the Plagiarism Advisory Service into essay bank sites available via the internet and their use of plagiarism detection software to protect the originality of the papers they offer.
The Plagiarism Advisory Service commissioned the NCC Group to consider the range of detection solutions currently available to the UK HE and FE community, and updating the review carried out by Bull et al. on behalf of JISC in 2001. This document summarises the findings of the report and compares four leading detection solutions.
