Dr John Lesko

Dr. Lesko is Associate Professor of Applied Linguistics at Saginaw Valley State University, Michigan, USA. He is the founding editor of the scholarly journal Plagiary, and also publishes profiles of well-known word-thieves at FamousPlagiarists.com, a popular audience oriented website which he uses to engage his students. He completed his doctoral work in applied linguistics at the University of Edinburgh, UK, focusing on "The Dynamics of Derivative Writing" (2000). Dr. Lesko is a contributing author for the "Plagiarism" entry in Routledge's forthcoming International Encyclopedia of Education (2008), and his opinion is regularly sought out in consultations and queries on issues and cases relating to plagiarism and research misconduct.
